1、Mid-Season Update:Menswear Highlights From the SS 22 Runways September has always been a crucial month in the fashion world.Anticipated,watched,and sometimes feared for its intensity,it is both a highlight of the year and the start of the rentre.This September was all the more special as it had the

2、flavor of a return to normalcy.If for nearly four seasons everything seemed to be turned upside down,the month that has just passed cannot lie;what had been interrupted is about to resume its normal course.If we should remember just one thing from this past month,it is that fashion,more than ever,ha

3、s been the vehicle for staging the garment.Far from a simple parable and a reference to Guy Debord,the title that we have chosen for one of our themes,the Socit du Spectacle,sums up in itself the formidable demonstration of staging offered to us by the houses for the Spring-Summer 2022 season.Perhap

4、s we have witnessed the very quintessence of what fashion is,a staging in itself,a staging of oneself.Rarely has fashion so much,Whats New for SS 22?and simply,embodied the daily spectacle of the very act of dressing.No political speech,no alarmist warnings,no critical look at the state of the world

5、 and of society.Back to normal,back to business.If voices were raised,they were not from the brands themselves.If brands had announced their departure from the calendar,they offered us flamboyant parades.We received sexiness,an insane wealth of details,the exhilaration of over-the-top shows reminisc

6、ent of the splendor of the 90s.Although this fashion month ostensibly marked a return to the pre-covid era,one conspicuous change seems to be the obsolescence or seasonality;this season,brands included warm coats and outerwear that one would expect to see on the FW runways rather than SS.Moreover,br
